Since 1992, Dick has devoted himself to writing music and songs based on American folk and popular traditions, first under the project name Last Forever, and, most recently, under the project name Too Sad for the Public. He has also produced albums by Chaim Tannenbaum, Rachelle Garniez, Geoff Muldaur and Loudon Wainwright III, and, in 2010, won a GRAMMY for Wainwright’s 'High Wide & Handsome'. Since 2009, he has run a small independent label, StorySound Records, featuring, among others, Rayna Gellert, Margaret Glaspy, Ana Egge, &, posthumously, Maggie Roche
